What is Pupil Premium?

Pupil Premium is additional funding received by schools to raise attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.  

 

How can I find out if my child is entitled to Pupil Premium funding?

Pupil Premium is allocated to those pupils who are:

  • Eligible for Free School Meals.
  • Are ‘Looked After’.
  • Have a parent serving in the armed forces.
  •  

How has this funding been spent in the last 12 months?

Students at SESN benefit greatly from their Pupil Premium funding through their mainstream provider, details of which can be found below:

  • SESN Placement fees.
  • Transport to access SESN provision.
  • Additional activities to broaden their educational experience. 
     

Free School Meals

Free School Meals are available to pupils who have a low income household and are in receipt of either:

  • Child tax credit.
  • Income support.
  • Income based job seekers allowance.
